Wellness Toolkit Series

Wellness in the workplace is an essential piece for employee productivity, moral and satisfaction. This series offers an in-depth look at the foundational aspects of wellness; its meaning and purpose, emotional clarity and control, resilience, ability to make decisions and exercise choice and communication. The 6 week program will include:

Workshop 1 - Mindfulness and Meditation - How & Why?

In this workshop attendees will learn why an age-old eastern practice has become a recognized and sought after approach in the west. We will explore the latest research in neuroscience, the effects of meditation on stress reduction, practical examples of benefits in day-day life, the difference between mindfulness and meditation, when to practice one over the other and exactly how to practice both. Participants will leave with a first hand experience of the benefits of meditations and many different ways to begin integrating the practice into their lives.

Workshop 2 - Stress & Anxiety

Mental illness is common and its victims often suffer in silence. Its effects can be debilitating, causing many employees to take more sick days or leave of absences. With understanding however, anxiety levels can be dramatically reduced and often totally eradicated. By learning the difference between stress and anxiety participants will be better equipped to handle their stress and take actions to reduce stress before it becomes anxiety.

In this workshop attendees will learn the difference between stress and anxiety, how to better regulate stress in their bodies, tools to reduce stress and anxiety when it’s becoming overwhelming, how to help when a fellow employee is suffering from anxiety (often times a helpful heart can accidentally make the situation worse). They will integrate their understanding of meditation and the brain from workshop 1 and have a stronger ability to reduce their stress as well as a genuinely increased desire to meditate to keep their mind calm.

Workshop 3 - Internal Dialogues

Who is the person we talk to the most everyday? Who is the person we’ll talk to the most for the rest of our lives? Ourselves. Our internal dialogue and resulting relationship with ourselves is the single most important factor in cultivating and maintaining wellness. In this workshop, attendees will learn how their internal dialogue affects every aspect of their life, how to discern between the dialogues that help and the dialogues that hurt and how to shift to more empowering dialogues.

Workshop 4 & 5 - Building Resilience

A strong internal foundation supports a multi-faceted and fast paced life style. The Building Resilience workshops integrates previous workshops to help attendees find strength when they need it most; when life becomes chaotic, sensitivities are triggered and reactions can occur. Employees will leave with a new definition of strength, solid and newly practiced communication skills, conflict resolution skills and how taking more responsibility equals more response-ability.

Workshop 6 - Living By Design

The last in the series, this workshop builds on all the understanding already gained and empowers employees to be creators of their lives rather than victims of their lives. An empowered employee is a happy, initiative taking, self-starting leader who is motivated from within.
